I doubt it because the tea you get in Bangalore is a mix of black tea with milk powder and some hot chocolate powder. The taste is quite peculiar but not bad as long as you don't associate your brain's meaning of 'tea' with what your taste buds are sensing.
This actually makes a good example of how our experience forms an expectation and a habit. What we judge against is just our relative, subjective experience and doesn't say anything about how good the tea is in absolute terms.
Anyway, if you expect the tea to taste like the 'Indian Chai' from Starbucks you'll be disappointed.
Maybe it would be a good idea to drink coffee in Karnataka as the South Indians tend to prefer coffee but I haven't tasted it yet. It's the North Indians who prefer tea.
